Dare County provides trash collection for the unincorporated areas of Dare
County and contracts with the Towns of Kitty Hawk and Southern Shores to
provide the service for their towns. For information about trash
collection Duck, Kill Devil Hills, Nags Head or Manteo please call the
towns directly.
Martin Luther King Holiday
The Dare County Sanitation Department, the C&D Landfill and the Transfer Station, the Buxton Transfer Station, and the Recycle Center located on Driftwood Drive in Manteo will be closed on Monday, January 16, 2012.
