Adventure Camp II
Ages: Rising 4-5 grade students
Cost: $275.00/participant

Annual Amanda A. Scarborough Fishing Tournament
Ages: 10-14
Cost: $10.00/participant (Free w/enrollment in Fishing School)
Place: All 3 Divisions-Ramp 38 in Avon
When: Summer Season
Participants will fish for 4 hours at a designated location. All
catches will be recorded. At the end of the day all participants
will be transported to the Fessenden Center for a cookout and awards
ceremony. Awards are given in several different categories. All
participants receive a prize.
Arts & Crafts Camp
Ages: Varies depending on class offered
Cost: $30/participant
Place: All 3 Divisions
When: Summer Season
Participants will make a variety of arts and crafts projects. A
variety of materials will be used such as, paints, clay, beads,
fabrics, and much more. Please wear appropriate clothing.
Basketball Camp
Ages: 6-13
Cost: $30.00/$20.00
Place: Hatteras Division
When: Summer Season
Basketball skills and fundamental instruction with drills, games,
individual and team competitions.
Bicycle Camp
Ages: 8-14
Cost: $5/participant
Place: Roanoke Island/Mainland Division
When: Summer Season
All participants must provide their own bike and helmet.
Participants will ride to various sites around Manteo and enjoy
picnic lunches each day. Please bring a water bottle each day.
Cheerleading Camp
Ages: 8 & up
Cost: $25.00/participant
Place: All 3 Divisions
When: Summer Season
Participants will learn proper hand and arm formations, cheers,
chants, and the basic pyramid. All participants need to show up with
appropriate clothing and shoes.
Fishing School
Ages: 10-14
Cost: $35.00/participant (Participants are automatically registered
for the youth fishing tournament.)
Place: All 3 Divisions

Participants will learn about fishing tackle, difference in poles,
bait types, how to bait a hook, take a fish off a hook, fish
cleaning techniques, and of course how to tell that Big Fish Story.

Fitness Camp I
Ages: 9-11
Cost: $25/$15
Place: Hatteras and Roanoke Island/Mainland Divisions

Participants will learn about healthy food choices, the importance
of exercise and physical activity all while participating in walks,
fun games and exercise classes.
Fitness Camp II
Ages: 12-14
Cost: $25/$15
Place: Hatteras Division

Participants will learn about healthy food choices, the importance
of exercise and physical activity all while participating in walks,
fun games and exercise classes.
Gymnastics Camp
Ages: 5 & up
Cost: $30/participant
Place: All 3 Divisions
When: Summer Season
Activities include floor sequences, vault, low beam, high beam and
bars (depending on division) with strength and stretching techniques
emphasized. Participants are placed in groups according to skill
level.
Non-Traditional Sports Camp
Ages: 7-12
Cost: $15.00/participant
Place: All 3 Divisions

Participants will play kickball, dodgeball, Snag golf, relay games,
and several indoor/outdoor games.
Pre-School Gymnastics Camp
Ages: 3-5
Cost: $20/participant

Participants will be introduced to the beam, vault, bars (depending
on division) and floor with motor development skills emphasized.
This is a wonderful way to build your pre-schoolers balance,
coordination, strength and confidence level.
Outer Banks History Camp
Ages: 10-15
Cost: $20/participant + entrance fees to sites
Place: Hatteras Division
When: Summer Season
Participants will visit local historical sites such as the Cape
Hatteras Lighthouse, Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum, Native
American Indian Museum, Wright Brothers National Monument and
Museum, and the Elizabethan Gardens.
Performing Arts Day Camps
Ages: 7-12
Cost: FREE
Place: All 3 Divisions
When: Summer Season
This camp is sponsored by the North Carolina School of the Arts. All
children will receive a YAP (Youth Arts Patron) sticker for each
show attended. Show times begin at 2:00 p.m. Transportation will be
provided.
Soccer Skills Camp
Ages: 5-12
Cost: $20/participant
Place: Roanoke Island/Mainland Division
When: Summer Season
Participants will learn the rules basic skills/fundamentals of
soccer, or you can participate to brush up on your skills. Shin
guards are required.
Skateboard Camp - Boys
Ages: 7-12
Cost: $40/participant
Place: Hatteras Division-Fessenden Skate Park
When: Summer Season
Participants will learn the basics of skate boarding on a street
course and a bowl. Helmets and pads are required and will be
available to borrow for those children who do not have their own.
Skateboard Camp - Girls
Ages: 7-12
Cost: $40/participant

Surf Camp

Participants will learn basic surfing skills such as paddling,
standing up, dropping in, cool surf lingo and more.
Class times will vary depending on the tide
All participants must pass a swim test.

Swimming Lessons

Classes are structured around the Learn to Swim program by the
American Red Cross. Participants will learn basic safety rules when
playing in and around water or at pools as well as basic swimming
techniques. All participants will be placed in classes based on
skill level.
Toddler Camp
Ages: 3-5

Participants will make crafts, sing songs, play games, and have
story time all related to the selected theme. Snack will be provided
daily as well. All children must be potty trained.

Toddler Theme Parties

Depending on the theme selected, children come dressed up in their
favorite costume and enjoy story time, snack and fun games. Children

Tennis Camp
Ages: 7-12

Participants will work on our basic tennis skills and fitness
through drills and competitive play.
Volleyball Camp
Ages: 7-12

setting, spiking, volleying, and serving.
What’s Cooking Camp
Ages: 9 & up

Wrestling Camp
